VIRGINIA THELMA JEAN CLARK,95, left her earthly home for her heavenly home on Sunday July 4, 2021.

Virginia was born on June 7th, 1926, the daughter of the late Francis and Grace Muchler Shields. She was educated in the Dallas Schools. Virginia married her husband Nile on April 22, 1950, and together they operated the family farm Spruce Row Farms in Beaumont and later Jean’s Diner in Tunkhannock. Jean enjoyed serving the public. Virginia was a Sunday School Teacher and loved children. She is a member of the Kunkle United Methodist Church. After retiring she was a caregiver for many and volunteered for many organizations. Virginia was a committee woman for the Monroe Twp. Republican party for many years receiving an award for 50yrs of consecutive voting. Virginia was an avid bowler winning Pa State Title for her age group. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting Afghans, reading, cooking, writing poetry and helping family and friends. Sis especially enjoyed family reunions, vacationing, long drives, bingo and casino trips with her niece Kathy Gialanella and her children.
Virginia loved and is loved.

Preceding her in death was her husband Nile G. Clark, sister Margaret Powell and brother Clifford Shields.

Surviving is her son Nile Lee Clark, Monroe Twp., daughter; Vivian Clark, Monroe Twp., ; brother; Joseph Shields, Florida; brother; George(Patty) Shields, Idaho; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 11am in the Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home 5749 SR 309 Monroe Twp. with the Rev. Ken Brown of the Kunkle United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in the Orcutt Grove Cemetery, Noxen.

Friends may call Thursday 6-8pm in the funeral home.
