Stanley J. Egan

Stanley J. Egan; 55; formerly of Exeter, PA, passed away at his home in Moreauville, LA on Sunday October 2, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald R. Egan Sr. & Rebecca (Koval) Egan.

Stan was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School Class of 1985. He was an Air Force Veteran having served in 1989 and was Honorably Discharged in 1993 with his MOS being Explosive Ordinance Disposal, where he received many awards and medals for his service. He was employed for several years at Willis Ide & Son and was previously employed by Lowes of Wilkes-Barre. He was the life of every family/friend event. There was plenty of fun had by all in his presence and he was the best person to give the most emotional Grace at holiday dinners. Stan had a special charisma about him where you became an instant friend just by him saying, “Hi,” to you.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Cynthia Egan; children, Cynthia Devens (Jarvis Wright) and Mason Egan; siblings, Sophie (Stephen Sr.) Barber, Donald R. Egan Jr., and Sandra Smith; his grandchildren, Darrell Kinnel, Jazza’niah Wright, and Jazira Wright; his father-in-law, Dennis L. Wilson Sr.; his mother-in-law, Cynthia Wilson; and brother-in-law Dennis L. Wilson Jr. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends. He is also FONDLY remembered by the Grant St Gang as the Mayor of Grant Street.

Memorial services will be conducted by Father Paul McDonnell on Friday, October 14 at 5 pm, at the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, PA, if you would like to attend this service.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, October 14 from 5:30-8PM at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project by filling out a donation card on-line at woundedwarriorproject.org and mailing it to PO Box 758516 Topeka, KS 66675.

The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to Heart of Hospice out of Alexandria, LA for all of their care and support during such a difficult time.
