Michiko Utagawa Campbell, 88, of Huddlestown, VA passed away Thursday, August 25 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA.
Michiko was born and grew up in Japan. Michiko and Bobby R. Campbell built a happy life together for 46 years. Michiko was kind and generous. She always had a great big smile and a warm welcome for anyone who visited her. She loved to travel and was fortunate enough to be able to go to many places. Besides her husband and her daughters her great loves were her Chihuahuas Tiny 1, Tiny 2 and most recently her grand dog Dobby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby R. Campbell, daughter; Janice C. Webster, sister; Tokiko Utagawa, brothers; Kenichi Utagawa, and Masao Utagawa.
Michiko is survived by her daughter Teresa L. Campbell and wife Lisa Parente of Swoyersville, PA, grandson; Stephen Neil Campbell of Buffalo, NY, sisters; Nobuko Kondo, and Setsuko Someya in addition many nieces, and nephews, other relatives and friends who loved her and became her second family.
Friends may call on Saturday, August 27 from 3-5pm at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza, Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, Pa.
