Michael J. Williams, SR, 73, of Forty Fort passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at his home.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Hiram Williams and the late Elizabeth (Hawk) Williams.
He was a graduate of Wyoming High School class of 1966. After high school he served in the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. Following his service, he became a corrections officer at SCI Retreat and was employed there for 20 years.

Surviving are his wife Cynthia (Hizny) Williams with whom they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on September 4th; children; Michael Williams, Jr, Forty Fort, Karen Williams, West Wyoming and Steven and wife Kimberly Williams, Henderson, NV. Grandchildren, Aiden, Jax, Carlee, Louden, Boston Williams and Autumn River; sisters; Margaret Hankey, West Pittston, Irene Smith, Hanover Twp, Ann Williams West Pittston

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Monica’s Parish 363 West 8th Street West Wyoming.

There will be no calling hours

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 75817, Topeka, KS 66675.

    Cindy and family, may God grant you the the strength to persevere through this difficult time. I have such fond memories of coming to visit as a kid as my father loved visiting you all; and Mike and Cindy always allowed us to stay with them. So warm and welcoming. Gone but not forgotten.
