    Remember Me

Remember me, but don’t be sad
For I’m in a better place
My mind is clear, I still love you all
But I’ve finished up the race

    Remember me, I’m still around
I’ve just moved a little further on
    Remember me, not with tears
    But remember to be strong

You took such good care of me
I know our love was great
Keep your faith, we’ll meet again
    And one day you’ll appreciate

Remember, there’s no sin in Heaven here
In Heaven, there is only love
    God’s love reaches everyone, everywhere
    It’s all we’re thinking of

One day you will be here with me
And all our loved ones still in your mind
A reunion with all whose loved we shared
With God, so full of Grace and kind

    Remember Me, but remember not
When I was at my worst
    Remember me, I would prefer
When you laid eyes upon me first

Remember me, always in your heart
With memories of things we shared
Though, for right now, we are apart
Know that I will always care

    Remember me, but remember not
Just the last few of my days
Remember me, with warmth and tenderness
    Because I’ll remember you always

Remember the fun we once had
And did things that made you laugh and smile
Remember some silly things that I did
And laugh for just a little while

Remember me, with love that families share
It’s such a very special place
Remember me, I’m that gentle breeze
That you feel upon your face

    Remember me, forever more
    Though there’s times I’m sure you’ll cry
Remember me, with fondness, to be sure
    For my spirit’s still alive

    Remember me, but don’t forget
The One who died and rose before
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ
    Praise His name forever more

After my Mom passed away, I felt like an orphan. Mary and Bill would invite me to their home for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. They knew I was alone and I did not cook. But it was their company that made me feel like part of a family. Mary and Bill continued to send holiday cards even after I moved away from Wyoming. Their love that they shared with me after my Mom’s passing will always be with me. Michael (my husband) hears me speak of them often. May Mary Rest In Peace. Anita (Zendian) Tillotson
