Kenneth Earl, resident of West Pittston, died peacefully of natural causes on Saturday morning October 15, 2022. Born on May 25, 1935, Ken was the son of Thomas L. and Maude S. Earl and a longtime resident of Bodle Road in Dallas. Ken was preceded in death by his seven brothers, Thomas Earl, Howard Earl, Raymond Earl, Alden Earl, Barton Earl, Donald Earl, and Robert Earl, as well as his two sisters, Eleanor Joslin and Annabelle Fitser. Ken is survived by many nieces and nephews.
After graduating from high school, Ken would go on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1957-1960 and was stationed in Germany. Ken was a master craftsmen and carpenter who worked for many contractors during his career. A beloved son, Ken attentively cared for his mother Maude in her later years in life and was a source of great comfort to her before her death. His kind, gentle nature was always appreciated by both his siblings and their spouses. A lifelong member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church, Ken lived his life in a quiet, humble manner. He was a kind, observant man who enjoyed listening and talking with those around him.
Ken will be cremated, and his life will be marked in the Mount Zion Methodist Church Cemetery, where many of his family members have been laid to rest. There will be no funeral services. Ken’s surviving family members would like to thank the staff at Wesley Village for their responsive, attentive, impeccable care and for creating a peaceful and caring environment for him during his final days.
