John L. Pesarchick

John L Pesarchick, 80, of Taylor, formerly of Exeter passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Throop, he was the son of the late Jacob and Clare (Owens) Pesarchick. He graduated from Scranton Tech in 1960 and attended Penn State Worthington Campus. He went on to serve our country for three years in the United States Army. John was employed by RCA for 30 years, and supervised the Dunmore Plant where they manufactured picture tubes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Pesarchick.

Surviving are three sons: John Pesarchick, Jr. of W. Pittston, Jarrod Pesarchick of Avoca, and Jason Pesarchick of Belview, NB, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister: Audrey Sciabarasi of Jacksonville, FL.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 5, 2023, 11:00 AM at Saint Ann’s Basilica, 1233 St. Ann Street, Scranton, with visitation from 10-11 AM in the church.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, May 4, from 6-8 PM at the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, and Friday 10am -11am in Saint Ann’s Basilica

Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Exeter.
