JOAN DYMOND, 89, of Exeter Twp. passed away Friday at her home.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Ruth (Pascoe) Grey. She was a graduate of West Pittston High School class of 1949. Joan was a member of the Mount Zion United Methodist Church since age 12 and served as the church custodian for over 30yrs. Joan was president of the United Methodist Woman for 5yrs, served as Sunday School teacher, and belonged to the Junior and Senior choirs. She received a certificate from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, House of Representatives inducting her into the Voter Hall of Fame for 50yrs of voting in every November election. Joan was a 10-gallon donor to American Red Cross Blood Center.

She loved animals and plants of which she had plenty of both. Joan and her late husband Howard loved to travel and spend time eating out at restaurants.

Her husband, Howard C. Dymond preceded her in death in 2006.

Surviving are children Lynda Gaipa, West Orange, NJ; Gary and his wife Idella, Mt. Zion; Terry and his wife Pam, Mt. Zion; Clayton and his wife Candace, Rougemont, NC; sister; Carole Conklin, Mt. Zion; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc 504 Wyoming Avenue Wyoming.

Interment will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Exeter Twp.

In lieu of flowers, Joan requested that donations be made to either the Mt. Zion Church, 1214 Marcy Road, Harding, PA18643 or Blue Chip Animal Rescue.
