Jerome L. Phillips

Jerome Lawrence “Moose” Phillips, 75, of West Pittston passed away on Monday, December 19 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born in Scranton, son of the late John and Laura Phillips. He was a 1965 graduate of Ransom High School. Jerome was employed for 20 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator by Northampton Fuel, before retirement. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Brinktown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Kathryn Phillips, and brother John Phillips.

He is survived by his children Forrest Green (Roberta) of Tunkhannock, Cathy Morden of West Pittston, David Green (Kathy)of Clarks Summit, Zigmund Thomashunis (Josette) of Shickshinny, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, brother: Donald Phillips of Duryea, and sister: Diane Phillips of Scranton.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 27 at 8:00 pm at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Ave, Wyoming.

Friends may call Tuesday, December 27 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
