Oh my sweet Irene, you were truly something special & I am so grateful that God gave me the chance to know you. My heart dropped to my stomach when I got the text, and the tears wouldn’t stop. I met you through a job but it didn’t take long at all for all of you to become family to me. We use to joke about you making it to 100, you lived such a good life and never lost that spitfire mind of yours. My heart is so sad from this loss & the world feels a little less genuine knowing you’re gone. God had a different plan for me and COVID kept us from visiting each other, but I forever think about our nights spent watching the news, eating ice cream, and painting your nails. I never stopped checking in on you. You are such an unforgettable soul. Rest easy up there, and make sure you go on ALL those missed ice cream dates with your husband- especially on your birthday💛
