GEORGE I. RACE August 15, 1945 - November 7, 2021

George I. Race, 76, of Falls, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 7, 2021. He
was born Aug. 15, 1945 in Franklin Twnp., the son of the late Charles & Ida Cook-Race. Also
preceded in death were his brothers Charles, Dana, Olin, Melvin and Samuel Race.
He was employed by Procter & Gamble for 31 years, and farmed with his wife Joyce of 55 years.
He and Joyce were also foster parents for over 20 years. He was an active member of The
Gideons International, a committee member of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Wyoming /
Sullivan Counties, and a member of River of Life Fellowship church in Lehman, PA.
Also surviving are sons Gary, Greg (wife Kateri) and daughter Glenda; grandchildren Gary Jr,
Jamie Vincavage (husband Brian) and Madison; his brothers Walter (wife Marilyn), Daniel (wife
Dorla) and Jacob Race; sister’s-in-law Elsie and Barbara Race, Nancy, Jean and Janette Smith.
He was a beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Box 392, Tunkhannock, PA 18657 or to support CEF of Wyoming/Sullivan Counties, PO Box
73, Tunkhannock, PA 18657. A memorial service will be held at River of Life Church, 22
Outlet Road, Lehman, PA 18627 on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 4pm. Friends & family may come at
3pm to visit and share their memories
