GEORGE A. BORZIK, 90, of West Wyoming passed away Sunday January 24, 2021 in Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Exeter.
Born in Swoyersville he was the son of the late George and Anna Chromey Borzick. He was a graduate of Forty-Fort High School class of 1948. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement he was employed at the Tobyhanna Army Depot as an electronic technician where he traveled extensively around the world. He was a member and past Chaplain of American Legion Post #904 of West Wyoming and was the 2017 Memorial Day parade Grand Marshall.
George enjoyed spending time at Knoebels where he was friends with most of the staff.
He was preceded in death by his sister Rita Dolhon and son-in-law Joseph Likowski.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 67 years Marcella Poremba Borzik; daughters; Lee Ann Hoffner and her husband Carl, Lebanon; Joyce Krolikowski and her husband Edward, Lebanon; Rose Borzik and her husband Art Marchese of Freeville, NY; Joette Borzik and her husband Richard Parker, West Virginia; Ruth Likowski and her husband the late Joseph; West Wyoming; granddaughter RuthAnne Hoffner, Durham,NC.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc 504 Wyoming Avenue Wyoming.
Due to Covid -19 there will be no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County 524 East Main Street Wilkes-Barre, Pa 18702 or an animal charity of your choice.
