Florence (Saracheski) Gatrone

Florence Saracheski Gatrone, 91, of Wyoming passed away on Monday, October 17 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Port Griffith, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Lulewicz) Saracheski. Florence was a 1948 graduate of Wyoming High School. Florence resided at her home on Moosic Street, Wyoming for 70 years where she could be found caring for her favorite Dogwood tree. Over the years she worked at Main Diner, Rex Shoe Company, and the Kingston Cigar Factory. She also helped manage the books for a small family run company. She enjoyed supporting the local high school football team, The Wyoming Area Warriors, and she cheered them on to many victories. Florence was a member of St. Monica Parish, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Carl in 1978.

Surviving are her children: Ralph Gatrone and wife Colleen of Kingston, Sharon Majoranni of Scranton, and Denise Chiampi of Wilkes-Barre, sisters: Dorothy Luceroni of Plains, Helene Eskra of Missouri, 7 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved her.

The blessing service will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 11 AM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, Father Peter Tomsak, celebrant.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Friends may call on Thursday, October 27 from 9AM to 11AM at the funeral home.
