Elizabeth F. Bartle of West Hempstead, New York passed away on Thursday, June 2 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Kingston, daughter of the late Russell Bartle and Olive E. (Coopey) Bartle. Elizabeth was a 1951 graduate of Kingston High School, attended Penn State, and earned a BS in Education at Wilkes College, and an MS in Library Science from Drexel University. She was employed at East Islip School District on Long Island, Upper Moreland School District in Philadelphia and Herricks School District on Long Island before retiring in 1997. She was a member of HREC, Open Project Christian Children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell C. Bartle, and William H. Bartle.

Surviving are sister-in-law Nancy Bartle of Jenkins Township and nephews William Bartle of Mechanicsburg, and Barry Bartle of Chandler, AZ, and niece Susan Bartle of Johnstown.

The graveside service will be at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Dennison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
