Dorothy Rossick

March 16, 1932 — September 23, 2021

Dorothy Rossick, 89, dedicated Catholic, loving wife and mother, and friend to so many, passed away peacefully at Wesley Village nursing home on September 23, 2021.
Born March 16, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine Silinski Karolchyk.
Raised in Edwardsville, where she graduated high school, she moved to West Wyoming where she resided for more than 60 years prior to being cared for at Wesley Village in 2020.
In the 1970s, she was employed at the RCA plant in Mountain Top, PA where she retired as a tester of transistors.
She was a very active in her community, especially St. Monica’s parish, having been one of the earliest members of its’ predecessor parish, Our Lady of Sorrows. She was a founding member of the Christian Mother’s Society at Our Lady of Sorrows, plus a member of the choir there and regular volunteer in so many of the parish’s church activities.
Dorothy was known for her quick wit and dry sense of humor and brought joy and touched so many lives.
Proceeding her in death along with parents, were her husband of 42 years, William, in 1994, and her sister Marie in 2019.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathryn Buccolo and husband Joseph of Bradenton, Florida; son, William and wife Lesa of Austin, Texas; and, several nieces and nephews.
Her wishes after cremation are to have a small private burial ceremony at the Mount Olivet chapel at a future date to be determined. She will be interred at that time at Mount Olivet Cemetery next to her husband Bill.
The family would like to make a special thank you to her dear neighbors and for all the caregivers at Wesley Village and Hospice of the Sacred Heart who helped with her recent journey.
