On May 29, 2021, David James Marchesini joined the love of his life, Eva Sopp Marchesini in eternal rest. David was the son of the late Joseph Marchesini and Hazel Thomas Marchesini. Born on Feb. 24, 1931, David lived most of his life in West Wyoming and recently Masonic Village, Dallas. Davis loved fishing and spent many hours playing golf and gin rummy at Fox Hill with friends and family. He spent his early years as a painter in his family business. Later, he established his own venture in the coal industry. David was a member of the Valley Masonic Lodge #499 of West Pittston and a Shriner with the Irem Temple, Dallas.

David is survived by daughter Lynn, Dallas, grandson Justin and wife Tara, great grandchildren Annika and Chase (New Hampshire) grandson Brad and wife Michelle, great grandchild Caleb (Mountaintop)and grandson David, (Dallas) David is also survived by brothers Robert (Hop Bottom) Gary and sister-in-law Barbara (Tennessee) and brother-in-law Peter Huth (Chicago) sister-in-law’s Julie Balberchak (Kingston) and Mary Garbett (California)and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding David in death are sisters Emma, Annie, and Sherry, brothers Joseph and Albert, son-in-law Richard Jumper, and several sister and brothers-in-law. Special thanks to all David’s medical support, especially Hospice of the Sacred Heart, numerous Geisinger physicians and staff, and Kadima at Lakeside.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home 5749 SR 309, Beaumont, Monroe Twp.

There will be no calling hours.
