Stanley A. (Drzweicki) Daveski, 75, of West Wyoming, passed away in Wilkes-Barre General
Hospital on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022.
Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Anthony and Jennie Winnicki Daveski.
Preceding him in death were his brothers Theodore and Anthony.
A graduate of West Wyoming Area High School, Class of 1964, he went on to serve in the
United States Air Force reaching the rank of sergeant with an honorable discharge in 1972.
Stan worked for more than thirty-five years as a carpenter for his cousin, Steve Thomas, who
operated Butler Construction in West Wyoming. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, local travel and volunteering at the American Legion in Swoyersville. Stan also loved and care for several rescued pet cats and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving him is his brother Ed Daveski and wife, Luann, Laflin, along with many
nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews who all loved him deeply. The
family would also like to thank his special friend Leaona Yuhas for brightening his day
as well as cousins and friends who helped in times of need.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday from Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at10:00 a.m.in St. Francis Cabrini, Kingston Township.
Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 612 Mount Olivet Road, Carverton.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home from
4 to 8p.m. Thursday.
