Rudolph R. Taddei

April 29, 1929 — March 21, 2022

Rudolph R. Taddei, age 92, will now care for his family as a guardian angel from heaven. Rudy died March 21 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 22, 1929, in Plains, PA to Nicola and Anna Taddei. He graduated from Wyoming High School in 1946. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and survived being wounded during the Korean War. He worked for Lanier Business Machines for many years in both sales and service and worked a second job as a TV repairman to support his growing family. After retirement he continued to work with his sons at their automotive garages.

Rudy was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and a friend to everyone he met. Family meant everything to him and he was happiest whenever there was an occasion that brought all of his family and friends together. He was the life of the party and a great storyteller. He loved to hunt and fish with family and friends and, of course, the tales of those adventures have achieved legendary status. His passing has left a void that can never be filled.

Rudy is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Delores (Troy) Taddei, daughters Karen (William) Callahan, Ann (David) Erdmann, sons Rudolph Jr. (Cleone), Ricky (Terry), and Randolph (Kim) Taddei, grandchildren Tina, Trudy, Rudy III, Alyse, Brianna, Derek, Kiana, Kayla and Kristina and great-grandson Jacob. He is also survived by a brother Gene (Mary) Taddei, sister-in-law Helen Taddei, brothers-in-law Charles (Vivian) Troy and William Troy, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Ronald Taddei, and brothers Nicholas, John and Donald Taddei.

Funeral service will be held Saturday March 26, 2022 at 9:30am from the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc 504 Wyoming Avenue Wyoming with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Monica’s Parish 363 West 8th Street West Wyoming with Rev. Peter Tomczak, celebrant.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
