RONALD W. NICHOLAS, 74, of Monroe Twp., passed away Sunday evening in Residential Hospice Inpatient Unit of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late William and Ann Brezek Nicholas. He was a graduate of West Wyoming High School class of 1965. After high school he entered the Army.  For many years he was employed by Acme Foundry of Wyoming and prior to his retirement he was employed at the former Cascade Tissue of Ransom.

Ron liked to take rides and picnicking up to Ricketts Glen State Park with his grandchildren, hunting and fishing with his children, lunch with the guys and watching the moonrise.

Preceding him in death was his wife the former Marie Nemic Nicholas and sister Gail Fitzmaurice.

Surviving are children Nick Nicholas and his wife Catherine, Monroe Twp.; Neil Nicholas and his wife Alyssa, Monroe Twp.; Heather Nicholas and her significant other Brian Altenhain, Monroe Twp; Desiree Nicholas, Monroe Twp; three handsome grandsons Ryan, Noah and Nate Nicholas; and many extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home 5749 SR 309 Beaumont, Monroe Twp.

Interment will be in the Memorial Shrine Cemetery of Carverton
