Rodney L. Traver, 87, of Monroe Township passed away Wednesday, February 23 at his home.

He was born in Noxen, son of the late Samuel Traver and Lena Brown Traver. He attended Beaumont High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He became an electrician and was employed through the IBEW Local 102 in Parsippany, NJ. Rodney was a member of the NRA and the South Mountain Land Association. He was also a member of the Bowmans Creek Free Methodist Church.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Samuel Traver, and sister Charmayne Traver.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Clara (Sickler) Traver, his children Melvin and wife Bonnie Ray Traver of Shavertown, Brenda DeRemer of Monroe Township, sister Melicent Moore and husband Gerald (Jerry) of Noxen and grandchildren Robert and Ryan Jacob DeReemer.

The funeral service will be at the convenience of the family through Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 S.R. 309, Monroe Township.
