Robert D. Ashton

Robert D. Ashton, 92, of W. Pittston, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, in Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

Robert was born in Brooklyn, PA, to the late Noah and Dolly Penney Ashton.
He graduated from Plains High School in 1949. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a Security Guard at various agencies. He was a member of the F.O.E.-Wyoming-West Wyoming, Masonic Lodge 468 of Wyoming, and the Wyoming Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Lynn Kofchak and sons Bobby and Ricky Ashton.

Robert is survived by his beloved companion of 42 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Beemiller, ten children, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Per Bob’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
