Robert A. Guilford, 68 of Wyoming, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 25, 2023, in the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center.
Robert was born on November 13, 1954, in Kingston, PA, to the late James and Marie Fortuna Guilford. He graduated from Wyoming Area High School in 1972 and went on to enlist in the United States Navy. He proudly served our country aboard the USS Beacon as a machinist. When he returned to the area, he worked various jobs. He managed Damon’s Restaurant in Avoca for 11 years, and later became the owner/operator of Guilford’s Pub, Wyoming. Through the years, Robert belonged to many organizations including Wyoming VFW, Dupont # 4909, NRA, social member of Wyoming H.C.2, he served on the Wyoming Council for 16 years and also ran for Mayor. He was a devoted fan of the Yankees baseball team, Penn State and the Cowboys Football teams. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. Robert was a member and served as a Sexton at the Wyoming Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by brothers Richard and David Guilford.
Robert is survived by his beloved companion Laurie Mazzaccaro; children Robert James (Oshra) Guilford of Erie, Adam Thomas (Shaina) Guilford of West Pittston; grandsons, Noah and Liam Guilford; and sister, Margaret Guilford, West Pittston.

The Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 7:00 PM, with full Military Honors beginning at 6:45 PM, at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Family and friends may call on October 7, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM, at the funeral home.
