Margaret Joan Jennings, 92, of Franklin Twp. passed away Thursday August 12, 2021 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Indiana, Pa, daughter of the late Stanley Clair Borland and the late Margaret Smith. She graduated from Meyers High School and for many years was employed at Bergmans Department Store and College Misericordia Bookstore.
Because of her love of animals, throughout her life Margaret supported the SPCA and Blue Chip. She was also a member of the WB Scranton Penguins Booster Club.

Preceded in death by her husband James Thomas and sister, Patricia Staley.

Surviving is her beloved son J Michael Jennings, Franklin Twp., nephews John Jennings, Colarado, Dustin Staley, Griffin, Georgia, Thomas Jennings, King of Prussia.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at noon at Metcalfe Shaver Funeral Home Inc, 504 Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, Pa, with Carol Folk officiating.

Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.

Friends may call Thursday from 11am until time in the funeral home.
