Marcella A. Borzik

Marcella A. Borzik, 92, of West Wyoming passed away Saturday December 23, 2023, at Allied Services Hospice Center of Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Duryea she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anastasia (Barbarevech) Poremba. She was a graduate of Duryea High School class of 1948. After high school she worked in the garment industry and taught dance at the YMCA. She enjoyed traveling across the country multiple times and to various countries with her husband George. She was a dollmaker, expert seamstress, and she and George repaired antique dolls for clients and museums throughout the country.

She was preceded in death by her husband George in 2021, her son-in law Joseph Likowski, sister Shirley Zambor and infant brother Edward.

Surviving are her children: Lee Ann Hoffner and her husband Carl, Lebanon; Joyce Krolikowski and her husband Edward, Lebanon; Rosalie Borzik and her husband Art Marchese, Freeville, NY; Joette Borzik and her husband Rich Parker, Virginia; Ruth Likowski (late husband Joseph), West Wyoming; granddaughter RuthAnne Hoffner, Durham, NC, brother Eugene Poremba, Wilkes Barre, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc 504 Wyoming Avenue Wyoming.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Luzerne County SPCA, 524 E Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 or animal charity of choice.
