LLOYD J SMITH, 79, of Dallas, PA passed away at home on Saturday. He was born was born in East Stroudsburg, son of Harold Smith and Evelyn Smith (nee Booth). He is preceded in death by Harold and Evelyn Smith, parents, Ernest H Smith, brother, and David J Mead, stepson. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife Mary S Smith of 29 yrs, son, James L Smith (Rebecca), Athens, PA, stepchildren Linda L Stephenson-Long (Robert Long), Philadelphia, James F Mead, Dallas, Michele Carichner, Dallas, Timothy F Mead (Sarah), Dallas, and Kevin Mead (Janine), Wilton, NH. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Lloyd was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School, class of 1969. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force as a Grounds Communication Equipment Repairman. Later he was employed by Pocono Industries, Inc for over 20 years, where he was a diversified and dedicated worker.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 30th, at 1:30 pm, Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas, PA.
