Linda L. Hoover

Linda L. (Maro) Hoover, 72, of Franklin Twp., passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, in Allied Services Wilkes-Barre Hospice Center.

She was born in Factoryville, to the late Angelo and June Malott Maro. After graduating from Lackawanna Trail High School in 1971, Linda was a book keeper for various businesses and organizations in the greater Scranton area before retiring to spread her love as a homemaker to her family. In addition, Linda volunteered her time for over 40 years at Elm Park United Methodist Church.

Linda touched the lives of many with her enormous heart, selflessly offering a helping hand to anyone in need of support and a shoulder to lean on. She adored music of all kinds, football games, and fresh cut flowers. Linda loved her family, friends, cats and dogs, and her community, and never hesitated to share kind words with a passerby. Linda exemplified the words in Carole King’s Beautiful, 

“You've got to get up every morning 

With a smile on your face 

And show the world all the love in your heart.” 

She will be deeply missed by all. 

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold and sister, Debbie DiCindio.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Hoover of Philadelphia; and Eric Hoover of Dallas, her sister, Judy (Harold) Wech, and many beloved, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Linda will be held on Saturday, November 30, 11:00 AM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 30 from 10-11am, at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment follows at Perrins Marsh Cemetery, Centermoreland.
