Leonard Edward Greskiewicz

Leonard Edward Greskiewicz passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the age of 88 at his home in Dallas, Pennsylvania surrounded by his loving family.

In addition to his parents, Lenny was preceded in death by his first wife Ann Teresa D’Eliseo of Pittston, PA, his five-year old son Markie and his brother-in-law Joseph Solomon of West Wyoming.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Judith Ann (Buxton) Greskiewicz, his children Annie (Paul) Stevens of Lawrence, Kansas, Rich Greskiewicz of Morristown, NJ, William (Erin) Erle of Ellicott City, MD and Pamela (Steve) Fritz of Dallas, PA. He is also survived by his brother Edward Greskiewicz of Missoula, Montana, sisters Theresa Solomon of Naperville, IL, Francesca (Wolfgang) Mack of Mercer Island, WA and Florence Brown of Hawley, PA. He will be missed by his grandchildren Hannah and Mark Stevens, Emily and Ryan Erle and Robert Fritz who were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from him.

Born in West Wyoming, Lenny was the son of the late Matthew Greskiewicz and Ann Marie (Klocko) Greskiewicz. He graduated from West Wyoming High School in 1951 and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Kings College in Wilkes-Barre in 1961. He was proud to serve his country in the Korean War with the United States Army. He was employed as a Personnel Director at United Parcel Service for 30 years. He retired at age 58 and for his second act, he and his wife Judy, along with Dave and Chrissy Pieczynski created Heritage Hills Estates. Over the course of 22 years, they built 65 award-winning, custom homes in the Back Mountain and Hanover Township, PA.

When he wasn’t working and spending time with family, he loved fishing and boating with his buddies, cooking, travelling, eating Cuban food at his favorite Habana Café in St. Pete, FL where he and Judy were permanent residents, card playing and cheering the Penn State football and the Kansas Jayhawk basketball team.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 10:20am from the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home 504 Wyoming Avenue Wyoming with a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, 68 Davis Street, Shavertown. Father Jim Paisley, celebrant.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, PA.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 31 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, PA.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, 68 Davis Street, Shavertown, PA 18708 where Len and Judy are members, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105 stjude.org or a charity of your choice in Lenny’s name.
