Kenneth Weisenbacher, 68, of Monroe Twp., passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Ken was born in Atlantic City, NJ, to the late Alfred and Rose (Grablutz) Weisenbacher.
He graduated from Elk Lake High School in 1973, while working for Eckerts. He worked as a mechanic in several places: Eckerts, Sears, Lehman Power Equipment, Hilltop Sales and Service, Andre & Sons Powers Sports and eventually opened his own small engine repair shop Weisenbachers Garage. Ken belonged to "Lug Nuts Auto Club" and enjoyed building custom chainsaws and cars.
In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Weisenbacher.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife of over 29 years, Pauline Wall Weisenbacher, children, Kristopher (Sheila) Transue of Trucksville, John Transue of Beaumont, Melanie Transue of Tunkhannock, Samuel (Maria) Transue of Wyalusing, Michael Weisenbacher of Beaumont, 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The Blessing Service for Ken be held on Monday, June 10, 4:30 PM at Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 SR 309, Monroe Twp.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 3PM until the time of the service at Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home.
