Joseph A. Pieri

Joseph A. Pieri, 93, West Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, February 8, at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born in West Pittston, PA, son of the late Casmier and Agnes Pieri. Joseph was a 1947 graduate of West Wyoming High School. He was a foundry worker at United Foundries and later employed at Addy Asphalt before his retirement. He was a member of Saint Monica’s Parish. Joseph was an avid sportsman and truly loved the outdoors as well as spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Joanne Cousin and sister Cecilia Romanoski.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Sophie (Shubzda) Pieri. His children; Robert Pieri of West Palm Beach, FL., Richard Pieri and his wife Judy of Drums, David Pieri and wife Christine of Exeter, and sister Norma Cappellini of West Wyoming.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc 504 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.
