John L. Satkowski

John L. Satkowski, 81, of Kingston Twp., passed away Saturday, August 27 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in West Wyoming, he was the son of the late Louis Satkowski and Victoria (Ostrowski) Satkowski. John was a graduate of West Wyoming High School, attended King’s College and served his country in the United States Army. For many years he was a self-employed contractor then owned and operated a tri-axle truck. He was a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his daughter Kristen Satkowski, and his brother Joseph Satkowski.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 49 years, Margaret M. (Orzech) Satkowski, his sister; Phyllis Zaleppa of West Wyoming, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other family members and friends that loved him.

The blessing service will be at the convenience of the family from Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
