Joan L. Hermann

Joan L. (Shaver) Hermann of Wyoming, 94, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, in Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing, Wilkes-Barre.

She was born in Wyoming, to the late Howard and Frieda Shaver, Sr. Joan graduated from Wyoming High School, class of 1948, and went on to Nesbitt Hospital School of Nursing. She started her career in the hospital and worked as the head of the phlebotomy lab for over 30 years. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star-Harmony Chapter, Wyoming and a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Kingston.

 In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her son, Howard Hermann, brothers, Howard, J. Clinton, J. Hall, and Joseph Shaver.

 She is survived by her children, Steven (Karen) Hermann of San Antonio, TX, Cyndy Janosky of Edwardsville, grandchildren, Mya, Eryn, Adam and Jade, and great-grandchildren, Mason, Jacob, Braden, Chase, Noah, Oscar and Valen.

 Funeral service for Joan will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, 12 noon at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

 Family and friends may call on Friday, October 25, 11AM-12PM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc.

 Interment will be held immediately following in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming.

 Memorial donations can be made in Joan's name to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 813 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.
