George R. Brown

George R. Brown, 66, of West Wyoming, passed away after his battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp., PA.

George was born on September 18, 1956, in Pittston, PA. Son of George and Theresa Brown, Yatesville, PA.

He graduated from Gateway Senior High School, Monroeville, PA in 1974. George worked for the railroad after high school before becoming a car & motorcycle mechanic…there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix.

George is preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Ferrara Brown. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynne, his son Adam & his wife Victoria (Zushi, Japan), his daughter Amy (Fort Worth, Texas), his father George, and brother Robert, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

George was best known for his love of old English motorcycles, model railroading, reading, and as the “finder of lost things”.

A Gathering of Friends & Family Service for George will be held on Wednesday, July 26th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, PA.

Interment will take place in private at the Lithuanian (Plymouth) Independent Cemetery in West Wyoming, PA.
