Francis “Fritz” George Kusma

Francis “Fritz” George Kusma, 81, of West Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly, while fishing in Delaware, on July 1, 2023, from a brain hemorrhage.

Fritz was born on August 26, 1941, to George and Ethel Kusma in Swoyersville. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Arcadia. In 1964, Fritz met Grayce Orlando and wooed her over a boat ride on Harveys Lake. Francis and Grayce went on to have 7 children, 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. They celebrated 58 years of marriage on June 26th. Fritz spent many years in the trucking industry, but his passion was hunting and fishing. We’re sure he will be telling the Master Fisherman about the one that got away on his last fishing trip.

Fritz was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister.

He is survived by his wife, Grayce; children Mark (Heather), Lynne Nace (Mike), Michael (Kim), David (Beverly Pabst), Kerri Burge (Jerry Cerulli), Krystle Winter (Phil), Kortni Guerin (Bill), Charles Burge; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
