Ethel Mae Minckler

Ethel Mae Minckler, 73, of Tunkhannock passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at her home.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, daughter of the late Robert and Emily Pollock Barber. Ethel worked for 22 years as a Corrections Officer in the Wyoming County Correctional Facility, Tunkhannock before retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Tunkhannock Pilgrim Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents Ethel Mae was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert T. Minckler in 2013. She was also preceded by her daughter Roberta Minckler Jurista Hood; brothers, Richard Pollock, Melvin Minckler, Charles Minckler; sisters, Shirley Ann Pollock, and Emily Mae Barry.

Surviving are her children, George E. Minckler III, Emily J. Minckler and Vickie Minckler Coney; a brother, George Williams; sister, Laura Mae Barber Piazza, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs Ravi and Lucy.

A Memorial Service is being planned for a future date and will be held at the Tunkhannock Pilgrim Holiness Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 SR 309, Monroe Twp.

Interment will be in South Eaton Cemetery.
