Eileen Savinski, 81, formerly of Pittston, peacefully passed away, Monday at Highland Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Exeter.

Born in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late John Murtha, Jr., and Florence (McDonell) Murtha. She was a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic High School. In addition to being a homemaker she was employed as a bookkeeper at Old Forge Dress.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Sharae, grandson Lamar, great-grandson Xander and great-grandson Levi.

Eileen is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Alexander Savinski. She will be missed by her son Thomas Smith of Florida, stepchildren; Linda Savinski, Wyoming, Susan Savinski, Pittston, Joanne Savinski, Swoyersville, Michele Reap and husband Michael of West Wyoming, Lisa Yerka and husband Anthony of Taylor, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.
