Dorothy Ann R. Lagrue, 84, of West Pittston, passed away Wednesday August 18, 2021, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia Milcavage Druchunas of Inkerman. She was a graduate of Jenkins Twp. High School, class of 1955. She was a hard worker starting at the age of 13 working in dress factories during school vacation and 5-9pm at night. She also worked the local farms with her friend picking beans and tomatoes, but they always found time to dance at the Juke Joint or the Rat Races in Dupont on Thursday nights, where she met her husband, Charles Lagrue. She and her husband enjoyed modern square dances with the Swing Alongs. As a family, they enjoyed camping at Camp Onawanda. She also enjoyed sewing, doing alterations, and made 2 prom gowns for her daughter. She was a den mother for the West Pittston wolf pack #350 at the Baptist Church. Dorothy could be found at her grandsons sporting events, soccer, baseball, swimming, and bowling..

She enjoyed going out to eat with her friends for pizza and Chinese food.

Dorothy worked in the garment industry until their demise. She then worked for Topps Chewing Gum and retired from Techneglas in 2002. She sold Avon for over 30 years. She was a member of the ILGWU, the Teamsters, and GMP.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Charles Lagrue in 1991 and son Charles, Jr in 1998 and her sister Geraldine Wonsavage

Surviving are her daughter Liane Winsock and her husband, Mark, West Pittston and grandson Zachary Lagrue.

Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in Him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.

Her faith and love of Jesus was a light that shined so bright through her. She loved her Connect Church family and was a pillar in her church. Her smile, hugs, kisses and her love to talk to everyone will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at a date to be announced at Connect Church, 406 North Main Street, Taylor PA
