David W. Lewis Jr., 43, of Swoyersville passed away Tuesday at his home.
Born in Tunkhannock, beloved son of Sandy (Hines) Lewis and the late David W. Lewis, Sr. David attended the Wyoming Valley West school district and received his GED. He was employed as a security guard by Allied Universal Security Services. He worked in security for many years and was known as a dedicated and diligent worker, earning Employee of the Month for August 2020.
David was an avid gamer, who also enjoyed movies, music, comic books, and collecting Transformers. He also loved animals and will be terribly missed by his beloved cat Loki, with whom he had a special bond.
He will be remembered for both his kindness and his humility. He had a gentle soul that left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
David was preceded in death by his father, David W. Lewis, Sr.; grandparents Jefferson (Tipper) C. and Shirley A. Lewis, Forty Fort; Raymond and Doris Hines, Hanover; Angelo Ragugini, Wyoming; Uncle Raymond R. Hines, Wyoming, and various other relatives. He will be greatly missed by his mother Sandy; grandmother Emma Ragugini, Wyoming; aunts Karen Cefalo, Wyoming, Diane Hines, Wyoming; cousins Chris and Anna Cefalo, Wyoming, Ronald Hines, Wyoming, Kimberly, John, and Keira Donahue, Blakeslee.
The services will be held Monday, October 4th. Friends may call between 12 and 2 with funeral services to follow at Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home, 504 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming with Rev. Laura Lewis Emmitt officiating.
Interment will be in the Forty Fort Cemetery.
