DAVID J MEAD, 53, of Dallas, PA formerly Tunkhannock passed away at home on Saturday. He was born in Kingston, son of Mary S Smith (nee Parsons) and Fredrick S Mead. He is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick S Mead, and stepfather, Lloyd J Smith. Surviving are his brothers and sisters: Linda Stephenson-Long (Robert Long), Philadelphia, James Mead, Dallas, Michele Carichner, Dallas, Timothy Mead (Sarah), Dallas, Kevin Mead (Janine), Wilton, NH, and stepbrother James L Smith (Rebecca), Athens, PA.
David graduated from Tunkhannock High School, class of 1985, where he was on the Varsity wrestling team. Later he graduated from Johnson Technical Institute, pursuing work in the electronic/electrical field. He worked for many years installing both commercial and residential security systems. Most recently, he was employed at Pulverman, in Dallas, PA.
David enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 30th , at 12:00 pm in the Nulton Kopcza Funeral Home 5749 SR 309 Monroe Twp.
