Catherine Shulna, 70, of W. Pittston, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at her home.
Cathy was born in Pittston to the late Frank and Lillian (Minkavage) Shulna.
She graduated from Wyoming Area High School in 1971. She was a member of the Kingston Post 283 Anthracite Ladies Auxiliary. All throughout her life, she volunteered her time for numerous organizations, including the VA Hospital, multiple MDA Telethons and was an active member of the LCCC Alumni Association. She attended St. Faustina Church in Nanticoke and St. John the Evangelist Church in Pittston. She was very proud of her heritage, and with her granddaughter Amelia, was very active in her local Knights of Lithuania.
In addition to her parents Catherine was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Faith Shulna.
Catherine is survived by her children, Valerie Schultz and her husband Rob of W. Pittston; Christina Hoffman and her husband Cory of Newville; Lori Horchos of Dupont and her significant other Brad Kulp; and her grandchildren, Sky, Takoma, Denver, Austin, Blake, Jade, Evin and Amelia.
Her greatest joy came from spending time with all of her grandchildren, whether near or far and with other family and friends. She's loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Catherine on Monday, April 8, 10:00 AM, at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S Hanover St., Nanticoke.
Friends and family may call on Monday, April 8 from 9 AM to 10 AM, in St Faustina Kowalska Parish.
Interment immediately following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
