Barbara L. Schotten

Barbara Louise Schotten of Harding, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, in Wilkes Barre, at the age of 65. Born on March 11, 1959, in Hillsboro, WI, she was a beloved figure in her community and among her family. 

Barbara's radiant personality was marked by her beautiful smile that effortlessly lit up any room. She lived her life with a zest that was contagious, and her interests were as vibrant as her personality. She had a deep love for plants, and she found joy and freedom in riding her motorcycle, exploring the open roads.

Barbara leaves behind a loving family: her daughter, Lacy (Ed) Gashi, and grandchildren, Hunter and Taylor Gashi; her son, Kyle (Ashley) Dogs, and grandchildren, Kenley and Ryker Dogs. She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Marlys) Schotten; sister, Paula (Dean) Vierck; brother, Michael Schotten; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Charles Schotten and Geraldine Berdelle Schotten (Brown).

The services to honor and celebrate her life were held at the convenience of the family.

Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming is assisting the family with arrangements during this difficult time. Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew her, as she made a lasting impact through her warmth, generosity, and spirited nature.
