Alexandra “Lexie” Joy Doroskewicz

Alexandra “Lexie” Joy Doroskewicz of Kingston, born August 20, 2007, passed away peacefully in the arms of her devoted mother on Thursday night, May 27, 2021 at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville, after a lengthy journey with a progressive neurological disorder.
Lexie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wyoming and attended the Wyoming Valley West School district.
Lexie was the most angelic, beautiful, kind, loving treasure of our lives. She was a breath of fresh air and sunshine when she entered the room, and she filled everyone she met with pure joy and happiness. We were all put in her path for a reason, and she accomplished what she was set forth to do. The pain of her passing is immeasurable, but her light will shine forever.
She enjoyed listening to music, particularly “Amazing Grace” and “You Are My Sunshine”, and everything Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. Lexie adored hugs, kisses, snuggling, rainbows, magical unicorns, the color pink, and anything glitter. She loved arts and crafts, books, movies, had a passion for card games, jokes and she most especially loved having “Sunday Family Funday” hosted at her home every weekend.
Lexie is now reunited with her twin sister Samantha Grace, who passed away on April 20, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her Aunt Sherry Kenia, Paternal Grandfather Stephen Doroskewicz, and Maternal Grandfather Michael Chocallo.
Left to eternally cherish her memory are her mother, Michelle Chocallo of Kingston, father David Doroskewicz of Edwardsville, her amazing support team and advocates over the years that consist of Nana Bonnie Chocallo, Franklin Township; Aunt Laura Chocallo, Uncle Jeremy Sereyka, cousin Sophia Sereyka, Plains Township; Uncle David and Aunt Heather Chocallo, Hunlock Creek; Uncle Bob Chocallo, Franklin Township; Aunt Jessica Doroskewicz of Edwardsville, Nana Nancy Doroskewicz of Edwardsville, Cherished friends Paul and Sandy Hager, and countless other heartbroken aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that are too numerous to list.
Special thanks to all the wonderful, caring and dedicated doctors and nurses at the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for their unwavering support that helped Lexie complete her earthly journey.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12noon in the Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc 504 Wyoming Avenue Wyoming with the Pastor Fred Croop officiating.
Interment will be in the Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.
